7E Phalanx - Pulse [NTT008]

Published

xE Phalanx, a variable group of electronic musicians is back, this time featuring (alphabetically): element.act, Kaebin Yield, Subskan, Tirriddiliu, UndaCova, vteb/DiE and Xanopticon.
Whereas the first xE Phalanx release was based on freefloating abstractions, "Pulse" explores the world of complex rhythms and beatprogramming in an intense 14 minute odyssey that builds up slowly from innocent spacey idm-like constructions to merciless experimental breakcore in 10 consecutive parts.
Thanks again to all the artists for their cooperation, and especially to Squarepix for the remarkable artwork!

Subject: An Electronic Storm
7EPhalanx delivers an electronic storm of sorts here... Damn, my mind almost snapped while listening to this. Anyone interested in Autechre should download this instantly. Those who never heard this kind of IDM, quickly... try this and listen it at least once.. hehehe ;)

Thanks for the experience, 7E. I may not listen to it again, but I'm glad I did once (does that make sense?) I thought of this as a sort of "taste pallet-cleanser", reaching into my brain and randomly deleting pre-concieved definitions of the idea that is "music", as I felt nothing less than refreshed after the final cut (er...meant in a complimentary way!). Download it and give at least ONE good listen through, especially if you dig the likes of Autechre.

Subject: I am officially impressed.......
This track is a biomechanical masterpiece. Everytime I listen to it I feel as if I'm transforming into a cybernetic organism. What kind of equipment was used to create such a complicated composition? I must salute the genius running these machines for further advancing the boundaries of the potential of rhythmic perception.
